Healthy Pantry Essentials
During this worldwide pandemic, it is imperative to take care of your body. Be continuous of what are you putting in your body! Do you have nutrient dense foods in your pantry?
You don’t need to spend top dollar in order to properly nourish your body. Canned and dried foods are less expensive and pretty simple to prepare; most importantly, they have a longer shelf life and can provide you with dietary fiber and essential nutrients.
Canned foods to keep around:
Pickled veggies
Sauerkraut
Tomato sauce
Canned tuna in water (lean protein, great source of fatty-acids, high in vitamin d and selenium)
Canned Sardines
Beans
Broth
Dry Goods:
Fiber rich cereals
Rolled oats or Steel cut
Pasta, rice, faro, or quinoa
Bread (*store in freezer)
Protein bars
Muesli bars
